Acting Jakarta Governor, Teguh Setyabudi, held a meeting with the manager of the social media platforms TikTok and Instagram at Jakarta City Hall, Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, Gambir, Central Jakarta, Monday (2/11).

Teguh said the meeting is a networking agenda aimed at preventing community clashes through social media.

TikTok is one of the social media platforms that has an extraordinary impact on society.

"I hope this meeting can establish synergy with TikTok Indonesia to anticipate the spread of content encouraging clashes between citizens in order to maintain a more conducive situation in Jakarta," he expressed.

Policy TikTok Indonesia Head, Hilmi Adrianto expressed today's meeting discussed issues occurring in society and captured patterns that are trending or issues that are deemed to have a negative impact circulating on social media, such as the problem of brawls.

"We also have community guidelines that allow any content to circulate on the TikTok platform," he explained.

His management also has a reporting feature that allows users to report content that is disturbing, accompanied by clear evidence and potential negative impacts on society.

"We will promptly take down content if we see that the impact is massive and harmful to the community," he stated.
